Baseerah Center is an Islamic Institute that opened its doors in the Summer of 2023 in Alexandria, VA. Our goal is to provide a 3–5-year program that will develop exemplary Students, Researchers, Imams, and Callers to Islam.

We hope to accomplish this mission by focusing on teaching classical and foundational Islamic texts that cover all the sciences of Islam. Students are expected to memorize, understand, and be able to summarize the material concisely in order to display their mastery. Classes are in person with an option for online attendance for those who live out of state.

Classes are taught in English by Shaykh Hamad AlSurayh, an Imam, Professor, and Former Judge in the Qassim province of Saudi Arabia.

Shaykh Hamad Abdulrahman AlSurayh

Shaykh Hamad Abdulrahman AlSurayh is currently a Professor at AlRajhi University and the Imam at Zaid Ibn Sahal Mosque, where he also teaches and holds classes regularly. He is a graduate of Qassim University with a degree in Usool Al Deen, and and also a former judge in Qassim, Saudi Arabia. After that he moved and lived in the states for some time, graduating with a Masters in International Affairs from George Mason University. He has studied under many scholars inlcuding Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, Shaykh Saleh AlFawzan, Shaykh Abdulkareem AlKhudayr, Shaykh Abdullah Ibn Jibreen, and others. The Shaykh has 15 years of teaching experience in both English and Arabic in various universities, masajid, and islamic centers.
